Toppy contributor Jim Stanton shares over two dozen San Antonio IDs from 2016. If you want to share audio from where you live, please send it to [email protected]! Thank you, Jim!
San Antonio 2015 (Part 1)
Thanks to contributor Jim Stanton, we start a multi-part look at the San Antonio radio dial; this time in 2015. We have lots of IDs to share with you over the next few weeks (from both San Antonio in later years, and from markets beyond San Antonio). Stay turned, and enjoy tonight’s new IDs. Thanks, Jim!
What kind of segue should we do? Jingle? Liner?
We’ve finished Scott Fybush’s 2018 trip to Chicago — Here are the last of those IDs, along with one from Northwest Indiana. Contributor Colin Campbell sent a nifty 1990s ID from Columbus, Ohio. Our next update will have more audio from our contributors. Thank you!
Rectifying a big omission
I live in Rochester, NY. I moved back here (checks calendar) 22 years ago.
I’ve been involved in Toppy from here for better than half that time.
And when did I last update my very own hometown’s IDs here on Toppy? (checks calendar)
That would appear to have been… um, sometime in 2014.
Which was, admittedly, an year of almost unfathomable crapitude, but still.
And here’s the particularly stupid part of this: every year in January, I amuse myself while being snowed in by airchecking the crap out of my hometown, trying to record one shift from every single talent who’s on the air here locally. (It’s become super-fun since all these community LPFMs popped up, with all kinds of interesting programming.)
Point is, my hard drives are choked to bursting with Rochester audio, including legal IDs. And at least I’m trying to start getting caught up, starting this week with the AM dial and half of the FM dial. More to come!
Scott’s Kind of Town? (Chicago)
Here’s some new audio, continued from Scott Fybush’s Chicago trip last August. We will have one more set of IDs, then it’s off to San Antonio, thanks to one of our wonderful contributors.
There’s probably an Amtrak train between these cities
Here’s some new audio — continued from Scott Fybush’s Chicago trip last August. We also received some wonderful contributions from Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Worcester.
Thank you to contributors Christian Velez, Justin Wolffing, and Ryan Wrecker. If you have audio contributions, please send them to [email protected]!
