Josh Werner made a road trip to Colorado over the summer, and has sent along some IDs from Denver-Boulder-Ft. Collins. (Yes, I realize that they’re all pretty much separate radio markets, but they’re close enough together and share enough stations to get consolidated in Tophour-land.)
As promised, more from my 2003 radio swing through Illinois. This time, it’s Peoria. (The first person to ask if Toppy plays there gets shot. I’m just sayin’.)
Coming soon: Only two more markets left on the 2003 Illinois trip: Champaign-Urbana and Chicago. Look for them soon.
This week, more audio from my Illinois swing last November. This week, it’s Bloomington.
What prompted the Illinois swing was a radio geek whirlwind tour of Chicago, including several transmitter tours and a pretty cool visit to the swank new Clear Channel/Chicago facility. (It’s also where Scott Fybush got to do something the rest of us haven’t quite been able to forgive him for. ) One of our fellow geekers on the tour, Mike Ward, has presented us with some new audio from Cleveland, and that’s part of the new stuff today also.
I’ve been holding out on sharing some of what’s coming in the future for Tophour, but I feel compelled, if not forced (hang on for why) to spill a few of the beans here. There is a new Tophour in the works for 2005. It’s not merely the redesign that I’ve hinted about (and that seems to be an annual event) but some pretty substantial changes in the way the site is run.
