It’s an honor to provide the first update of the new year! While none of these IDs were recorded this year, I am working on doing a complete collection of airchecks and IDs of stations heard from my location in SE Massachusetts, and those will be posted soon. Today, enjoy some IDs from Springfield and Worcester.
I found that I had a few more IDs from Nick Langan that somehow I had forgotten to post. They are from Christmas of 2011, so since we’re only a couple days from Christmas I just had to post them, even if it does mean two posts in one day! Enjoy IDs from WFPG Atlantic City, WOGL & WBEB Philadelphia, WMGQ New Brunswick (New York City), and WJBR Wilmington.
Well it’s been another year of few updates from me, which I apologize for. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling between Boston and New York on weekends, which doesn’t allow for the time to do a lot of editing and posting of audio. It does, however allow for a lot of audio to be recorded in the car! I’m fortunate enough to have a line out run from my aftermarket stereo that I’m able to run into a portable MP3 recorder.
Tonight I give you TONS of audio starting here at home in Boston, continuing down to New London-Eastern CT, Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport-Stamford-Danbury, and of course New York City. I’ve also added a few from Poughkeepsie, as that is where we keep IDs for 100.7 WHUD, the strongest local in the area where I stay. I have to give WHUD a lot of credit, as along with being a very locally oriented station still with a LIVE personality on overnights, they even allow the DJ to say the legal ID themselves, which is becoming more and more rare these days.
Wait…. that’s not all! Thanks to my friend Nick Langan, here’s a couple from Philadelphia, from before and during the launch of “Smooth Jazz JJZ” on 1480 and 106.1 HD2.
Tonight’s new audio comes from Northern New England, specifically New Hampshire and a couple from Vermont. Enjoy IDs from The Concord/Lakes Region area as well as Northern, NH/Northeast Kingdom, VT. Apparently a couple stations WAY up north there haven’t completely figured out the art of a proper legal ID just yet… Though that was a year and a half ago now, they may have since figured it out.
