Burlington-Plattsburgh

October 9, 2009 By Brian Leave a Comment

There are 23 cities named Burlington in the United States.

There are 2 Plattsburghs.

There are 14 IDs in today’s update.

What do all these numbers mean?

Not a damn thing. Burlington-Plattsburgh tonight, thanks to Garrett Wollman.

Solving Macauley Culkin’s Biggest Dilemma

September 18, 2009 By Brian Leave a Comment

Namely, aloneness.

There’s been a lonely single ID in the Imperial Valley CA folder since Chris Rollins sent an update some time ago…but during Garrett Wollman’s swing through El Centro and the rest of the Valley in April of this year, he captured more for your dining and dancing pleasure.

Enjoy. And don’t pull anything.

Because I Can’t Pronounce “Wiikwasa Kasikita”…

…I’ll just go with the English translation: Prescott, Arizona. (Which is pronounced PRES-kit. Rhymes with biscuit.)

IDs freely given from Garrett Wollman; fun facts shamelessly stolen from Wikipedia.

Have a big weekend.

I’ve Been Everywhere, Man

Okay, so I’m no Johnny Cash…but today’s handful of IDs are so random, it feels like everywhere. Dig new market Dothan, plus Green Bay, Houston and New York. Thanks to John Fernandez, Aaron Tyler, John Villatelli and…uh, me.

Lake Havasu From AAA To ZZZ

July 24, 2009 By Brian Leave a Comment

So, here’s what you probably already knew about Lake Havasu City:

  • They bought the actual London Bridge (you know the one…it’s falling down) and moved it to town in 1968.
  • Yeah, that’s about it.

Here’s what you may not have known, at least according to our friends at Wikipedia:

  • It was founded in 1964 (yeah, 4 years before the bridge thing) by a chainsaw magnate.
  • It’s the biggest city in a group clustered along the borders of Arizona, California and Nevada.
  • They are fortunate enough to have both KAAA and KZZZ in town. Who saw that coming? (I mean, except Fybush).

While I’m sure there’s a photo somewhere of Garrett Wollman hanging a moon off the London Bridge, he didn’t send us that…but did score us today’s clips. Enjoy.

That is, if you can get that damn London Bridge song out of your head.
