So you’ve been driving all the way across the country, and after hours and hours and hours of Nebraska, you bear left on to I-76 and pass the “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” sign. Your long journey is over and you’ll be browsing the shelves at the Tattered Cover or taking in a Rockies game any minute now, right?
Um….no. First you have three more hours of what may as well be more of Nebraska, the endless plains of northeast Colorado that make up what we’re calling the Fort Morgan market, though the stations and towns really stretch for a hundred miles from Julesburg on the state line through Sterling to Brush and Fort Morgan – and you’re still an hour’s drive from the edge of Denver’s sprawl even then!
Be that as it may, we heard the IDs and recorded them for you. And while the holidays (and that dreaded “real life intervening”) got us off track from Site of the Week, you’ll see some of the towers this coming Friday. Try to contain your excitement?
