After doing play-by-play for a high school football broadcast last Friday night, I took the first flight on Southwest Airlines from Nashville to Tampa early Saturday morning, then caught a ride directly to Raymond James Stadium to see Florida State play USF. It was a fun time, ditto for the Rams/Bucs game on Sunday as well, though it was also brutally hot out there.
Nashville will always be my home, but I had more fun during my five years living in Tampa than some people have in an entire lifetime. And while many of my friends from that 2001-2006 era are gone and some of the places have changed, it’s always good to get back.
I also recorded as many radio airchecks as I could during my brief visit, and tonight the first batch of legal IDs extracted from them are now up on the site.
