When I recorded the Pittsburgh IDs featured today (and took the pictures over at Site of the Week) back in June of 2011, it was hard to believe that the baseball team I’d traveled to the Steel City to see would end up, two seasons later, with the best record in the majors.
But here we are two years later, and the Pirates are the only team above the .600 line. I guess I should have known something was coming when they beat my Red Sox in the interleague game I’d gone to PNC Park to see…
(And, you know, I couldn’t be happier. PNC is a great park and the Pirates fans are amazing. I’m delighted to see them having something to celebrate, and I will remain that way right up until the Sox win game 7 of the Series this fall.)
