(Cue the Casey Kasem jingle, right?)
We’re back at Toppy HQ after spending parts of last week in California and Texas, and this week’s installment includes a couple of new IDs from the West Coast – the arrival of EMF’s Air 1 format at KLST-FM 92.7 (and its trimulcasters) in the Los Angeles market and the temporary Christmas format at KOGO-FM 95.7 in San Diego. And we have an ID grabbed (along with two Vienna Beef dogs) during a stop in Chicago at O’Hare: the reincarnation of WKQX’s modern rock format on the HD3 of the old ‘KQX (now WIQI 101.1) and on the channel 6 “Franken-FM” heard at 87.7, now WKQX-LP.
From the other end of the country, we have a “last and first” pair of IDs from Monday morning’s surprise flip from “Kool” oldies to “Roxy” hot AC at WKNL 100.9 in New London, Connecticut.
And we continue to Hoover out the old files with a few more signals (mostly HD subs) from the Ithaca, Binghamton and Syracuse markets closer to home.
