Beyond the One True Rochester, out there somewhere on the way to that Other Rochester in Minnesota, there are some smaller Rochesters, too.
In this installment (coming to you a little early, since we’re on our way out of the country for a week or so, over the ocean, where the streets have no name and the stations have no callsigns or legal IDs), we hear all of the radio stations in Rochester, Indiana, on the fringes of the South Bend market, collected during a couple of visits in 2008 and 2009.
Hi Scott, I have been looking at your “tophour” posting about Ireland and am impressed by your potted history. Not many manage such an accurate description in so few words.
I would have loved to have chatted with you both last night in Listowel. This and your other sites are so interesting. I could have spoken with you about making an introduction to a friend of mine who was the first ever manager of an Irish language radio station set up here in the early 1970s and which is still very successful. I feel that might have been of interest to you.
We should keep in touch.
