And it is windy out in the midwest this week – just ask the folks in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where winter weather appears to be the reason the 2,000-foot tower of WEAU-TV (Channel 13) and WAXX (104.5) came down late last night. (Both stations are back on the air, sort of, as we write this: WEAU via the 18.3 subchannel of competitor WQOW-TV, WAXX by displacing the rock format on sister station WECL 92.9.)
But we’re not in Wisconsin with this week’s Toppy update: we’re in Chicago, with a pile of IDs from our June 2009 visit. Enjoy – and stay warm!
