As Lou notes below, it’s Thanksgiving time…and for me, that often means the 500-mile haul from Rochester to Fort Wayne, a trip I make several times a year. That means lots of opportunities to aircheck places like Erie and Toledo and this week’s featured markets, Cleveland and nearby Akron-Canton, Ohio.
While I’m getting closer to digging out from under my aircheck backlog (note that some of this week’s IDs are actually from – gasp! – this year), none of these are from that very drive that I made yesterday. Instead, we get some recent history: WNWV 107.3 on both ends of its transition from smooth jazz to AAA last New Year’s, WKDD 98.1 before it migrated north from Canton to “Munroe Falls” (a suburb of Akron, giving it a signal that reaches much of Cleveland, too), WHOF 101.7 not long after it moved north from Dover-New Philadelphia to North Canton, and we fill in some gaps in our Cleveland and Akron AM coverage, too.
And remember – always remember – that turkeys cannot fly.
Happy Thanksgiving!
