Right now in Central New Hampshire, there are 3 stations that are pretty much just on the air wasting electricity. It appears that the sale of 99.1 WNNH, 101.5 WWHQ, and 102.3 WWHK is for some reason being held up, and therefore are stuck in between their previous owner and whoever the new owner is. 2 out of 3 of these stations have been running a loop continuously for over 2 months now. WNNH is directing listeners to all of the other Nassau stations in the area, while WWHQ‘s loop is directing people to The Hawk’s new home of 104.9. WWHK has been on and off the air for about a year and a half now. When on, they’re running what sounds like classic rock songs on shuffle in winamp.
Enjoy the new IDs this week from these and other stations in the Concord-Lakes Region area of NH. I certainly wish these stations lots of luck once they do resume normal operations, and will be listening when in the area this summer!
