Here we are into the winter weather season here in New England, even though it isn’t quite winter on the calendar yet. Last week, parts of central New England were hit hard by one of the worst ice storms I can remember. Fortunately the ice didn’t take down any stations’ towers that I know of, but it did knock power out to quite a few. Several stations, including WTAG in Worcester kept running on generator power for several days, providing outstanding coverage. I was busy myself keeping some paging transmitters running on generator power. This weekend, it’s snow, and a lot of it. Here on the South Shore, I’m looking out the window at around a foot of snow, and there’s more on the way.
Once again this week, there’s new material from Boston. I’m continuing to clean up my folder of new IDs from the past couple years, but today, I’ll also give you some more IDs from a lot further back than that. Also, enjoy some more classic IDs from New Bedford, Providence, Portland, Salisbury-Ocean City, and Tampa that I’ve acquired in airchecks over the years.
