Because, you know, I’m coming up blank. And it’s not even like I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night – I was in a rather cruddy EconoLodge in Rome, New York, 90 minutes west of the Empire State’s capital city, while attending a regional engineering convention.
You’ll hear those Mohawk Valley IDs (WBRV 900 Boonville? Yes!) eventually…but being literally a year behind on my ID-scoping duties, and having just gotten back home after the mind-numbing experience that is 100 miles of Thruway driving in the rain, it’s into the E: drive we go again.
The bucket’s running a bit low there, but never fear: just like that artist who’s escaping my mind sang about in that song I don’t remember, there are always interesting legal IDs in Albany.
(If not, there’s always Schenectady and Cobleskill and Johnstown and Amsterdam, at least.)

Don’t worry about being a year behind on Mohawk Valley IDs… we submitted a bunch from Utica (and Syracuse) back in April and May. They’re all ready to go. We even painstakingly took the time to fill out all the ID3 tag data and rename the files, exactly as specified on the audio submissions page before sending them off to [email protected]. Yet, our efforts still appear to be for naught; nearly 6 months after we sent them in, they are nowhere to be seen. We’d love to help more and maybe even become a “Friend of Toppy,” but nobody seems all that interested in what we’ve submitted. 🙁
On a side note, your mention of WBRV reminds us of a news documentary piece WSTM-TV in Syracuse did, about WBRV, back in 1980. We spotted it recently on YouTube. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCFy3d98Rfo
