It’s not often we get a lot of older material into Toppy. It could be because it’s so much easier to catch current stuff, or that (like a certain ‘Sconnie editor you know) there’s a pile of cool but undated airchecks in the closet, or some other reason. That’s why, when we get stuff with a bit of age behind it, it’s fun to post them.
Back to the ’70s and ’80s today, with newness from Billings, Denver, Memphis, Pocatello, Seattle and DC.
Thanks to our Correspondents of Past Glory: John Pinckney, Kit Sage and Mike Workman.
Not to diminish other’s contributions, but I just wanted to direct those interested in vintage stuff over to the Fresno section where I have sent in a decent amount of stuff from the not so recent past.
There’s also a pretty sweet ID from Daniel in the LA folder from KHJ, circa October 1967 that you should check out if you haven’t already.
In fact, if you want to search for vintage stuff, you can enter “196” in the “search tophour audio” box at the top the audio pages to search for IDs from the ’60s (or “197,” “198,” “199,” etc.).
