(with apologies to Sir Paul…)
Yes, it’s been a busy few weeks on the dials in upstate New York, and your faithful Toppy editor has been up and down the Thruway grabbing a whole bunch of newness on tape. There’s the relentless march of K-Love and Air 1 across upstate, marked this week by new IDs from Syracuse and Albany, where EMF converted LMAs to ownership and put new calls on the signals. Also from Albany, we hear the start of a new noncommercial AAA, WEXT 97.7 Amsterdam. (Big thanks to Andrew MacKenzie of North River Broadcast for helping us out with some of those IDs!)
And of course the big show was down in New York a week or so ago, when WCBS-FM roared back from HD2 oblivion. We’ve got pictures and videos over at NorthEast Radio Watch, and by golly, we’ve got us some legals right here at Toppy!
