This week’s entry title has two meanings. Yes, I’m still literally cleaning up the home office, looking for that darned Vegas ID tape from April. But I’m also “cleaning up” some recent changes around my own home market and some nearby areas.
From the One True Rochester, we have the very recent flip – as in, less than a week ago – of WVOR 100.5 from modern AC “Mix 100.5” to “The Drive,” which is more or less…a modern AC. If nothing else, the flip came with the very first call change in that frequency’s 43-year history here, and you get the very last WVOR legal and one of the very first WDVI IDs as well.
And three hours east in Albany, a few IDs from earlier in the year, with new formats and/or calls at “The Bone,” “Q103” and “The Edge.” (And yes, “Q103” used to be “The Edge,” but that was a different “Edge.” It makes sense if you live in Albany, I guess.)
