That’s how the Big Trip of 2005 came to a close, late on a Saturday night (and early the following morning) in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Maybe I was exhausted. Maybe the tape decks were exhausted (gotta find a good way to go digital!) Maybe I should have sacrificed even more sleep to check the tapes before we moved on to catch our flights home later that Sunday. (And maybe a couple of stations in town could have had their automation set up a little better, too!)
In any case, a few airchecks were lost completely to interference from some local FMs that didn’t look that close to the hotel on the map. Several others were unpleasantly warbly, and are included only for the sake of completeness. Perhaps the Boss Man can improve on some of these IDs on a future swing down towards that other Rochester.
And speaking of what we here in upstate New York like to think of as “little Rochester,” we’ll throw in a few IDs from Rochester, Minnesota gathered along the way on this trip, at no extra charge.
Next week, some IDs from somewhere other than Wisconsin and Minnesota!
