Our recap of the never-ending Big Trip of 2005 lands us this week in northeastern Wisconsin, the area that the ratings folks divide into separate “Fond du Lac,” “Oshkosh,” “Appleton” and “Green Bay” markets.
Here at Toppy, those areas are all mushed together into a big Appleton-Green Bay-Oshkosh market, and who are we to question that? After all, it’s the area our beloved (if flatware-challenged) founder calls home. Which may explain why it was never completely populated with IDs before – something about shoemaker’s kids, I think. Joshua Werner and Blaine Thompson have done their part to get many of the market’s IDs in there, and now it’s my turn.
Update: I’m now reminded by Brian that there is, in fact, a separate Fond du Lac market on Toppy, and the appropriate IDs from Fond du Lac, Ripon, Waupun and vicinity have been moved accordingly!
This week’s additions are all from the southern half of the market – Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and the “Fox Cities” of Appleton, Neenah, Menasha and so on. We’ve even grabbed a couple of IDs from the adjacent Sheboygan market. Next week, we’ll move on to Cheesehead heaven, filling in the Green Bay gaps.
And in the meantime, as always, you can see the towers and the studios (and even a picture of Our Beloved Founder himself) at Tower Site of the Week. Enjoy!
