Brian says he’s “busy” this week (aren’t we all?) – so I’m taking a break from the big pile of Big Trip tapes from last summer to see what else is in the in-box.
This week, Bob Corbin offers a few new IDs from his home market, Norfolk-Virginia Beach, plus the very first Spanish ID from WGBT in Greensboro. Chet LaPrice keeps the Erie history lessons coming, with the start of “Country 98” from 1989, the start of “The Point” on WJET from 1999 and the end of “The Lake” on the same frequency in 2002. John Pinckney takes us to Honolulu and some vintage 1974 IDs. And Justin Case saw our KZIO ID from the Duluth portion of the Big Trip and offered up an ID from the “real” KZIO (not, as he put it, today’s “poser” rimshot version), where he worked as PD in the nineties.
Thanks, guys! I’ll try to help Brian get caught up – there’s lots more sitting in Toppy’s in box awaiting processing for the site.
(And a friendly reminder: there were a few IDs in the box that I couldn’t use – remember, we need five seconds of audio on either side of the ID, and we need to know the month and year of the aircheck!)
