So, I’ve used that title several times before, but this time, I mean it: the Canadians don’t have to legal ID, but one of the Detroit market C calls did, so check it out.
Most of our submissions come from radio fans instead of people who get their paychecks from stations, but there’s a bunch this weekend: thanks to Blaine Thompson for the Detroit and Chicago updates, Chris Cuomo for the Selma and Montgomery updates, WCBS-FM Production Supervisor Chris Angelo and PD Dave Logan for the New York update, Jon Scaptura for the Binghamton IDs, Chris Cervantez for the Bloomington update, Aaron Tyler for the new ID from Marion-Carbondale and Ed Petersen for the new entry from Lewiston ID.
But we appreciate everyone who sends audio, so big props to Rikki Eaton for the Muskegon ID, The Fox for the update from our new favorite unpronounceable micro-market, Natchitoches LA, Tony Ehler for the South Bend clip, JD Swimm for our new trip to Youngstown and Bob Corbin for the update from Norfolk.
As always, we’d love to hear stuff from your area! Go read this, and then fire up the MP3 recorder and e-mail to [email protected]!
The job you and Lou are doing is excellent. In five years, this is going to be one of the coolest and LARGEST archives of radio ever.
In looking at the Montgomery market, I see 100.5 WANZ listed. I think it may be better listed in either the Tuscaloosa or Birmingham markets. Even with it’s current upgrade (as WRAX now), it still barely reaches fringe areas of Montgomery.
Keep up the good work

Ya know, I never thought of what this thing might be like in five years (of course, I never thought it’d last the first four!)…the mind boggles at that idea, but thanks for the nice words, Brian. Also, thanks for the suggestion…I’ve moved the WANZ clip to Birmingham.
Incidentally, you should go check out Brian’s tribute site to WFLZ/Tampa at http://www.thepowerpig.com — it’s really, really good.
Just wanted to mention that the “Lewiston Idaho” id I am credited for sending is actually not from that market. it is from the Moscow, ID/Pullman, WA market 🙂
You mentioned Canadian stations dont have to legally ID. Do Mexican stations?
